American Gods follows Shadow Moon, a recently released ex-convict who finds himself drawn into a mysterious world when he meets a charismatic stranger known as Mr. Wednesday. As Shadow travels across America with him, he discovers that an unseen war is unfolding between ancient gods of myth and the new gods of modern society.
